Sarina Bajwa is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (1-19-36044) living and working in Manhattan, New York. She studied education during her undergraduate years at Wellesley College in Massachusetts and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree. An interest in psychology and education led her to study School Psychology at Teachers College Columbia University where she obtained her Master of Arts Degree. It was during her years at Teachers College that Sarina had the opportunity to work in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and learn about school and home based ABA therapy. Sarina started working in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at the Fred S. Keller School in Yonkers, New York and was immediately interested in specializing in the field. As part of a dual program at Teachers College, Sarina was able to train in both ABA and School Psychology simultaneously, completing both coursework and applied fieldwork. As part of her School Psychology internship year, Sarina worked at the Rockland BOCES District-based programs in Nanuet, NY. Upon completion of coursework and other requirements Sarina sat for the board examination and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2019. Currently she works as a school psychologist and an in-home service provider. Sarina has a strong background in creating and implementing behavior plans, in teaching social skills and introducing functionally based replacement behaviors. She is passionate in meeting the needs of individuals based on personalized problems and creating functionally adaptive environments. Shedraws from the experience that she’s gained over the years by working in the field in different capacities and by collaborating with other professionals both in school and home based settings. Sarina hopes to continue to grow and apply her knowledge in working to improve the lives of the individuals she worked with.
