Michelle is a New York Licensed Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (1-18-31395) and has over a decade of professional experience serving children with Autism and other developmental disabilities. She received her bachelor’s degree with a dual concentration in psychology and criminology from Ohio State University and went on to receive her master’s degree in Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. Since 2010, Michelle has developed and implemented behavior analytic programming across 5 states as a BCBA and Clinical Director, working with children and their families to create well-rounded approaches that not only build skill sets, but teach children that learning can be fun. She feels passionate about promoting highly effective and ethical practices and achieving a balance between ‘work’ and ‘play,’ with a heavy emphasis on teaching within play and the natural environment. Michelle has extensive experience in developing programming to increase language, social, and play skills and utilizing a variety of assessments (including VB-MAPP, PEAK, EFL, etc), as well as implementing functional analysis and functional behavior assessments to build function-based intervention strategies for moderate to severe behavioral problems. Michelle has worked with individuals ranging in age from 18 months to 22 years old, with a primary focus on early intervention (2-8 years old). She has experience with utilizing a variety of communication systems such as picture exchange, signs and modified signs, iPads and related high-technology devices, and vocal speech.
